Small black dangling earrings in boho style, very lightweight, intended for people with pierced ears.
WHO MAKES THEM?
All my earrings are made by indigenous women from the Embera Katios and Ingas tribes in Colombia. The longest ones (18 cm) are made by the elderly (the abuelitas) and are generally used during traditional ceremonies, the large ones (13 cm) are made by adult women, and the shorter ones (7 cm) are made by teenagers and young girls.
DIMENSIONS
This model measures 7 cm in length and 3 cm in width.
MATERIALS
The earrings are made of colored glass beads. The hooks are made of metal and may cause allergies for sensitive individuals.
FAIR TRADE
The money from sales is directly given to the women who create the jewelry, and they determine the price. The production of bead jewelry is a Colombian tradition that is important to preserve so that local knowledge and the tradition of these tribes are not lost. Support their culture by buying and wearing their art!
